In 2006, I started Counterpoint Consulting with a simple goal: helping businesses automate their operations using the best process automation platforms available. We chose the name "Counterpoint" because of its connection to music; it is the art of combining independent melodic lines into a single, harmonious piece. Every voice stays distinct, but together they create something much bigger than the sum of their parts.
That is exactly how we work with our clients. We pair their deep industry knowledge with our technical skills to reach results that neither of us could achieve on our own.
Twenty years later, that mission hasn't changed. But we have.
From consulting firm to solutions company
When we first launched, "consulting" was the perfect word for what we did, which was advising companies on how to set up automation and content management systems. Over the years, our work grew into something much more comprehensive. We built our own suite of products like ReadyRFx, ReadyDocs, and ReadyAI. We also grew our partnerships beyond OpenText to include Flowable, Microsoft, Box, and others, while earning our GSA Schedule and SOC 2 Type II certification.
At some point, "consulting" stopped describing us. We were building products, engineering custom solutions, and deploying production-grade automation at enterprise scale. The name needed to catch up with reality.
AI: a powerful new voice in the composition
The timing of this change isn't a coincidence. We are officially starting our AI Enablement practice to help organizations use large language models, automated workflows, and intelligent document processing.
For us, this isn't a sudden shift; it is the next logical step. AI is a powerful tool for automation, and we have been in the automation business for twenty years. We know how to look at a company's operations, find the areas where we can make the biggest impact, and build solutions that last. We have been doing this with low-code platforms since 2006, and now we are applying that same experience to LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, and others.
To extend the musical metaphor: AI is a powerful new voice in the composition. And we know how to conduct the orchestra.
What hasn't changed
I want to be clear about what this rebrand is not. It's not a change in ownership, leadership, or values. It's not an acquisition. It's not a pivot away from our core automation and content management services.
Here's what stays exactly the same: our team and leadership, all existing contracts and client relationships, our GSA Schedule and SOC 2 Type II certifications, our product suite, our Vienna, Virginia headquarters, and our commitment to shipping enterprise software.
What's new
Our name: Counterpoint Solutions Group. Our primary domain: c20g.com (counterpoint.ai and counterpointconsulting.com both redirect there). Our AI Enablement services, including strategy and assessment, intelligent process automation, custom AI development, and AI training. And our newest products: ReadyDocs for enterprise document and records management, and ReadyAI for AI-powered capabilities across our product suite.
Looking forward
As AI technology becomes more accessible, every organization will need to figure out how to use it effectively. We are here to make that process practical and measurable, just like we have done with process automation for the last two decades.
If you have worked with us before, thank you for your trust. If you are just meeting us, welcome; we would love to show you what we can do.
Same mission. Same team. Bigger vision. We're just getting started.
