Bill Markmann

Founder & President

Bill founded Counterpoint in 2006 and sets the company’s technical direction and vision. He has over two decades of experience designing and scaling enterprise-class systems, platforms, and applications. Bill has led the construction of cloud-based solutions in both the private and public sectors, delivering high-performance, high-reliability experiences to millions of users worldwide. He oversees all software development at Counterpoint, including product development and engineering standards. Bill is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Kevin Salandy

Executive Vice President, Customer Success

Kevin leads Customer Success and Project Delivery, responsible for staffing and growth of the professional services team. Prior to joining Counterpoint, Kevin was a product engineering lead at Appian, an early leader in business process automation and low-code development. Since joining in 2007, he has led the delivery of dozens of complex automation and enterprise information management applications for Counterpoint’s largest customers across North America. Kevin is a graduate of Yale University.

Steve Markmann

Executive Vice President, Operations

Steve leads Counterpoint’s Operations, including Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and G & A functions. He has over 25 years of broad experience in information technology, including business intelligence and process automation, across diverse industries such as software, retail, and the public sector. His expertise lies in operations, product management, and organizational development. Steve is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Taylor Bezerra

Vice President, Customer Success

Taylor leads the Customer Success and Project Delivery function at Counterpoint, responsible for staffing and growth of the professional services team. Prior to joining Counterpoint, Taylor was a Project Manager at a small government contracting company, and has significant experience in the business process automation and low-code development space. Taylor is a graduate of the University of Virginia, with a B.S. in Economics and M.S. in Commerce.

Jay Hoelscher

Vice President, Business Development

Jay is a business development leader with over 25 years of experience transforming how federal agencies manage content, data, and workflows. He collaborates closely with the Department of Defense and other federal organizations to deliver secure, practical solutions that solve mission-critical challenges, enhance operational efficiency, and drive measurable outcomes. Jay has led the design, development, and scaling of enterprise programs for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, DLA, and Army National Guard. Prior to joining Counterpoint, he held leadership roles at Tungsten Automation and OpenText, partnering with federal customers to deploy advanced information management solutions with tangible, mission-focused impact.
